A. NO, Such tests require swab samples be taken and sent to a lab for identification. This is beyond the scope of a home inspection.
Q? WHAT WILL IT COST?
A. The inspection fee for a typical one-family house varies geographically, as does the cost of housing. Similarly, within a given area, the inspection fee may vary depending on a number of factors such as the size of the house, its age and possible optional services such as septic, well or radon testing.
Do not let cost be a factor in deciding whether or not to have a home inspection or in the selection of your home inspector. A. YES, I am licensed and insured to perform both home and termite inspections.
Q? DO YOU PERFORM RE-INSPECTIONS?
A. YES, We gladly perform re-inspections once all repairs have been completed. The fee for this service is $100.
Q? DO YOU WALK ON THE ROOF?
A. NC home inspectors are not required to walk a roof however, If in my opinion I deem it safe, I will walk the roof.
Q? WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
A. We accept most credit cards, checks or cash. Payments can also be made online through my website, in person or by phone.
Q? DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF CLOSING?
A. We prefer payment at the time of inspection but will make exceptions if requested.
Q? WHY CAN’T I DO IT MYSELF?
A. Even the most experienced homeowner lacks the knowledge and expertise of a professional home inspector. Q? DO I HAVE TO BE THERE?
A. While it’s not required that you be present for the inspection, it is highly recommended. You will be able to observe the inspector and ask questions as you learn about the condition of the home and how to maintain it.
Q? WHAT IF THE REPORT REVEALS PROBLEMS?
A. No house is perfect. If the inspector identifies problems, it doesn’t mean you should or shouldn’t buy the house, only that you will know in advance what to expect.
